"Mugna para makasugakod"
Depicted in the painting are the numerous method on how a particular tribe called the T’boli’s of lake Sebu in Mindanao, were able to manage living through the abundance of the sorrounding environment. Their activities include fishing, meeting of the council of leaders and elders through hunting, planting crops, weaving and rearing children. Each of these activities are directed to a common goal, TO SURVIVE AND TO PRESERVE CULTURE. Amongst these ways of maintaining their remarkable identity is thier culture, represented through beliefs, traditions values, economic stature, inspiration about significant event and strong conviction affirming their invaluable loyalty to their tribe. To this day, it has been evident that the T'boli’s were able to instill their traditions, through creative and artistic weaving, which has been passed on from generation to generation unmodified through the values the changing times. Weaving has been a distinction of discipline determined through the values they were shaped with as a tribe.
